Engagements

An engagement or nischitartha is a smaller, more particular event than a wedding — usually 150 to 400 guests, mostly family, and the ritual matters more than the scale. The hall works at that size without feeling empty: the main room seats 400, and for a smaller gathering the seating is arranged to keep everyone close to the stage rather than spread across the floor.

The room is centrally air-conditioned with a separate dining hall, so the meal after the ceremony is served in its own space. Changing rooms for both families sit off the main hall.

Decor is where most engagement budgets go, and both routes are open. Our in-house decorator knows the room and can work to a brief; equally, families regularly bring their own decorator and we give them access to set up. The stage backdrop and the entrance are the two areas worth spending on at this size.

Catering is the same story — our kitchen is fully equipped with utensils and available to you or to your caterer. Vegetarian catering is what the kitchen is set up for.

Homa is permitted in the designated areas if the ceremony calls for it, so the traditional elements can be performed properly rather than worked around.

Practical details: valet parking for around 50 cars, banquet furniture included, generator backup, lift access and housekeeping. The hall is directly opposite the Jayanagar 9th Block old bus stand, which makes it straightforward for guests coming from across Bengaluru.

Most engagements run comfortably on the Half Day package — 12 hours, which covers setup, the ceremony and the meal. If family is travelling in and you want the room from the previous evening, the 24-hour package includes A/C rooms in the same building.
